Find it quite staggering that we have up to 20 players out of contract at the end of the season. I can't recall any other side having that big of a potential turnover in players before? Doesn't exactly come across as a well thought plan either.

These regular 60 point drubbings must make it harder to recruit players too, why would players choose to leave Salford, Wigan, Warrington, saints, Leeds etc to come to Hull to regularly be part of such defeats

Separately Saturdays performance has just completely undermined the whole marketing strategy, at the end of last season we were all completely fed up of the rubbish served up under Hodgson, this season was a "fresh start" new coach, new signings and we were ready to go etc, you could sell passes on that as there was a feel good factor at the club built on by two positive showings in pre season which led to the 15k crowd at the first game and then the win against Leeds...all that work has been undone now. If the season carries on with performances like Saturday, how do you market passes for next season? The fans patience only goes so far "in any kind of weather" only stretches so far...

I’d imagine a clear out has been in the pipeline for some time. Pearson/Clark must have some long term vision, probably wanted Hodgson to be the man to do it but he took too long to work with what he had.

All men are created equal, some work harder in preseason.

Unfortunately Hogdsons recruitment was horrendous, he signed Gale, Reynolds, Evans, Mcintosh and Lovodua.

Then decided not to play Lovodua in the position he was brought in to play, rather playing Houghton for 80 minutes.

Radford has a lot to answer for too, giving out long deals to mates and releasing Litten and Abdul without really giving them a chance.

And obviously Pearson, kept Radford at least a year to long and appointing Hodgson. This along with academy merger has set us back a few years.

Hopefully Smith is the man to turn us around, I'm sure at the end of his first year at Rovers he made big chances, did well signing some young players too and ones from the championship.

I guess we will see what he can do.

Just hope the rumour about Cliilford is wrong

Can't see Clifford going to the Dolphins. If they make a signing at 6 or 7 it'll be a big name (no offence Jake).

I agree, they have a good 6 and 7 already and not sure Clifford is better than Sullivan.

Abject performance by the entire team in solidarity with their co players. The South Africans signed for Wigan instead. Saturday was far and away the worst performance of an FC first team I have ever seen. It was the stuff of nightmares but the real nightmare is that I just can’t see another win even Wakey raise their game when they play us, because they know they can win, look at the recent results of the fixture. This downward spiral has been going on for 5 years and unfortunately this could well be our last season in top flight, especially with the IMG plans.
ps Keith, Bob and the rest of the mob will cream their knickers.

No I wouldn’t want you to relegated and miss the derbies. Just want you to perform poorly in SL and wipe the superior smile off some FC fans faces. Plus it helps both clubs finances.

His use of available quota spots wasn’t stellar.

He did improve the team’s mental resilience, imo. And left some positives for the new coaches to build on.

Be interesting to see what sort of reaction there is from Hull in the next couple of weeks.
