What a good idea you could do with a decent tent on Craven Street if it rains.

I was hoping that he'd make some tough decisions and give some youngsters a go over under performing big earners, but so far I haven't seen it. But it's early days. Maybe today will give him a better view for the future. I thought today was a opportunity to put a young kid out in the centre with Sutcliffe out. But he chose to move Griffin back there when I thought Griffin was best kept in the back row.

The back row of the north stand.?

Think He's stuck the same ideas/same tactics for years He's done nothing of note since 2016

He coached them since always had my doubts

We're not a big rugby league team really are we in the grand schemes , brisbane got 43k

We barely scrape 15k for a so called "massive crowd"

Even our away support has gone backwards compared to years back

We're not as big as we think

Hardly hit 20k for Derby

Smith is realistically the most experienced coach we can attract, for the reasons you have stated an NRL coach isnt going to quit and head over for the 'challenge' and Daryll Powell aside SL actually has quite an inexperienced coaching lineup right now and we've had our fill of hiring assistants. Even Wayne Bennett would struggle with our set of slow, weak minded players and theres no spare cap space to any wheeling and dealing.

Give Tony time, and lets see what the response is like over the next few weeks.

After having slept on that; It’s like the players have been told they’re all playing for a contract in 2024 and most of them have decided they’re off and can toss it off for a season. Beggars belief that these are professional athletes.

But if thats the case then the big flaw in their logic is what other teams are watching that are watching that and thinking 'must sign them up'??

Maybe it’s like Wire last season and half of them have already agreed terms with York.

Oh yeah the power board. They have so

I’m hoping Tony Larvin will be announced next to join the board.

To be honest walking home yesterday I thought they looked like a group that have been told who and who won’t be here next year and the ones that won’t be have chucked the towel in.

As has been said as good as Taylor and Houghton have been for us sadly they are done at SL, Houghton doesn’t look interested and Taylor after having missed a game instead of looking fresh looked anything but.
Evans not a lot to say really as just don’t see what he offers at all and his minutes per game is shockingly low.
Lane a million miles away from the player that showed so much promise a few years ago and a defensive liability out played by Griffin in 2nd says it all.
Lovodua started with a bang last season but done nothing else of note and don’t really see where he fits in to be honest. Doesn’t excel in a particular position and is in all honesty nothing more than average.
Scott whilst he’s improved just isn’t a frontline starting SL centre.
McIntosh another who although he wasn’t the worst yesterday just has too many errors and brain farts in him.
Griffin at centre was pretty poor and didn’t compare anywhere near his performances at 2nd which I thought he’d been pretty good.

As good as Tony Smith is and with his proven track record even he can’t polish the turd within the squad.
Pity he didn’t tell them not to bother changing and have them straight out on west park working on their defence and tackling.

The problem we don’t have enough replacements to drop the number of players that just didn’t perform yesterday.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!
