Think He's stuck the same ideas/same tactics for years He's done nothing of note since 2016

He coached them since always had my doubts

We're not a big rugby league team really are we in the grand schemes , brisbane got 43k

We barely scrape 15k for a so called "massive crowd"

Even our away support has gone backwards compared to years back

We're not as big as we think

Hardly hit 20k for Derby
I don't know what he's hungry for. That's why I said "I hope he's still hungry"

I do think the opportunity he's been given to coach this club can bring out some hunger in him to prove to himself above any one else that he can take this possible final big challenge and succeed. No doubt from us viewing this current state of us that this is a big challenge to make this club successful. His big brother is regarded as being one of our more respected coaches and he won nothing with us. If anything, surely he wants to outdo his brother? Who doesn't want to win against their brother in competition?

You don't rate this club as big that's fair enough. I'm not saying our fans are the best but there's no fans better than ours.

Only thing they’re best at is booing their team and evacuating the stadium so quickly. old faithful

Yeah, but you're a Hull Kingston Rovers fan, so you have to say that, don't you? I wouldn't expect nothing less.

I was hoping that he'd make some tough decisions and give some youngsters a go over under performing big earners, but so far I haven't seen it. But it's early days. Maybe today will give him a better view for the future. I thought today was a opportunity to put a young kid out in the centre with Sutcliffe out. But he chose to move Griffin back there when I thought Griffin was best kept in the back row.

Despite his reputation for blooding youth in his earlier days as he’s got older he has tended to move people out of position rather than give youngsters a chance.

He didn't play any youth at Rovers because he believed, and made it known, that none of them were good enough to play, and that shuffling people around was a better option that playing somebody from the academy/reserves.
You will most likely doubt this, but it's true.
We have some exciting youngsters coming though. The majority of them won't live up to their potential, but they will get their chance to try.

So, so disappointed yesterday and only highlights the severity of the situation tony has at hand. That was simply pathetic.

Jordan Lane, apart from an annual good line break, what does he actually do well? He’s not big, doesn’t make many meters, and worst of all he doesn’t have the heart, some of his defensive efforts for the past 18 months are what you’d be disappointed to see in an under 8’s game. Grabbing at shirts in Super League? Deary me.

Lovodua, again, after showing promise last year, what is he actually good at? Can’t play centre, can’t play 2nd row, okay at LF but we have plenty of them and doesn’t want to (apparently) play at Hooker, which is where we wasted a quota spot on him for.

Kane Evans could be mistaken for Dane Tilse, what a waste of a lump.

Scott Taylor, 2 week lay off to prepare for the game and was grabbing at shirts and flagging after 8 minutes, he’s had a good start but today showed what complete meltdown he’s capable of.

I could go on and on, and bash and namedrop probably 90% of them.

Hoy and Clifford must wonder what on earth they’ve got themselves coming to us.

I like Tony’s interview, after today, players can go one of two ways, they either put their hands up and say that want to right their wrongs, or they can admit it’s too much for them and pack their bags.

The one and only positive is that this has happened in march, there is a long way to go and still time for things to improve, but I wouldn’t hold my breath. Roll on the champions of the world on Friday!

Salford red all over wrote:Just like to say how impressed I was with the hospitality at Hull today, firstly a lady met us off the coach and gave my son a lollipop, another fan pointed me to where I needed to buy a ticket for my son (I was always coming but my sons football match was called off so I brought him and needed to buy him a ticket) where the steward told me I could save 3 quid by going straight to the turnstile, them guys were equally helpful, then after the game another fan wished us well I thanked him but no idea why I said Sam Luckley was sat with us other than he was, but overall it has to be my best away experience ever and I've been around a while and certainly never to my shame welcomed away fans like today, Well done FC i'd be happy to give my view on the match if anyone is interested ? it would be a good debate.

Pleased you had a good experience. Mind you with a result like that you should have done! Hope you go well this season. You don't bring the biggest away support but you always make plenty of noise. A strong big city club like Salford can only be good for the game. What's the latest on the stadium?

So why is he nor playing FC youngsters then? This is strange when not even the older players are good enough.

Because we are 4 games into the season. The academy and reserves teams have played 1 game and therefore not even close to match readiness for Super League as it stands.
I will repeat again. They will get their chance. It might not be until May, August, September, who knows. But they will get their chance.

Nice to see Keith popping up on here (as he does when we've had a bad day) but can I just remind him that we are actually level on points with his super duper high flying Dobbins. Let's just see where we all are at the end of the season.
