I think there's only going to be one winner this time around .
Have to say although Hodgson has gone now he has left us with a legacy of poor signings. I will even add Sutcliffe to the list because he is just average and we need strike centres with pace. Once Manu Mau was released it was obvious our second row would be a weak link trying to make do with Lane and Griffin whilst Savelio gets fully fit. We know there should be a major clearout at the end of the season and this should make some of the decisions a lot easier That said we still have a major recuitment problem for 2024 when we need two big mobile second rows and front rows.at least one strike centre and wing with real pace and thats without knowing whether our two new Australian players will stay.

Salford play a good style and have signed players that complement each other such as Croft does the running which makes up for Sneyd not doing much running (though he looked like Usain Bolt past our snail paced defence) theyve also moved Watkins to 2nd row as he's getting older whereas if he played for us we'd have kept him at centre based on being good there in a cup final 5 years ago...

You all thought Sneyd was the problem and you got your way but leaving Hull was the best thing that ever happened to him. In Salford colours he has earned England recognition and today scored 24 points and had 3 assists. You replaced him with Luke Gale enough said.
Tony Smith said after the Catalans rout that this week he would be working on defence, defence and defence. Good idea Tony but in 3 years at Rovers the defence was no better the day you left than the day you started. Tony had two 11th place finishes at Rovers and I reckon he might get another this year but it could be a tight thing for 11th and 12th between you and Wakefield.
Wakefield at least are battling whereas you lot looked disinterested today. For sure it was the worst performance of any team so far this season. Has Tony demanded a job for his daughter yet?

Sneyd was in a rut and it was best for him and Hull to move on.
And you Robins have short memories, Tony was the toast of East Hull when you were 80mins from Old Trafford and the CC Final. Also one of your 11th place finishes came when Toronto folded and Tony was quite open with the fact he as experimenting with the tactics with no fear of relegation.
Some of the players we had out there today have underperformed under Radford, Last and Hodgson which suggests its not the coach thats the issue.

You must be relieved that lawsuit has been dropped Bob. Well done to your lawyers.

Well this game is gone now, we can't do anything about it. We were a shamble today and that's that.
You can't tell too much about a team with those performances, you can learn more by seeing how they react to those performances. Are they prepared to get up off the floor when they've been hit by a big knockout punch?
I still think Tony got his team selection wrong today. I expected to definitely see Shaul given a go with the amount of first teamers missing from the back division.
I thought Brown last week performed to give him a place in the starting 13. I thought Cator would come back in to the 17, I didn't think Andre had played enough over the past year and half to be in the starting line-up.
He needs to make a choice quickly who his starting hooker is. Is it Houghton? Is it Dwyer? Is it Joey? Pick one and keep him there.
There's no better motivation for a player than challenging yourself against the World Champions. So if we don't get a response, then it could be curtains for us.
Time to stand up and be counted for this team. They owe us a performance.
