I’m ready to write Evans off, bloke has a peach of an offload but plods the ball up. Just need more.
Jordan Lane wouldn’t get in the wakey side on this seasons showing. They went straight through him for a penalty tap.
Think smith needs to get the hatchet out this season. These players probably need moving on so we can refresh

Tbf its too soon to tell with the latest round of investment (Shenton in as coach etc) but it is disapointing that 5 years ago we had a young team running about at Stadium Australia and the future seemed bright, and all theyve turned into is forgettable squad players and a few have retired altogether.

There can and should be no excuses for that embarrassment of a performance. Not taking anything away from Salford but even Wakey would have put a score on against us today. Salford had to do nothing other than run at the gaping holes in our line. There was no effort, desire or intensity is any aspect of the game today. Passive and abject in defence and not prepared to work hard enough. Think half a dozen players need to be dropped but who do we have to cover that many drops? Lane, Houghton, Taylor, Lovodua, Evans were abysmal and not far behind Dwyer and Scott. I’ve been critical of McIntosh but to be fair to him today he was much better defensively and not one of the issues today. I like Lovodua but he hasn’t stepped up and looks less than average along with Evans which is is a big hit in terms of lack of quality in the quota. Houghton & Taylor sadly are finished as top level players. As for Lane what has happened to him as he looks million miles away from the player that showed a lot of promise. There are players in the championship that would offer more than the ones named above which is telling. As great s player as Ellis was if he’s the defensive coach then you have to ask what is he doing? Smith has an awful lot of work on his hands and I’d even say some players need to be moved out with immediate effect.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!
It felt like the kind of performance that group of players put in to signify they've had enough of a coach and would like a change...surely we're not at that stage in the cycle already
Not arsed if Lane misses the rest of the season. I wouldn't even subject Newcastle to his abject performances.
Taylor, Houghton, Griffin, Shaul. What's the point. Loads of cap tied up in players past it.
Evans and Lovodua are a waste of a quota spot.
Had big reservations about the Dwyer signing. Reason Leeds went with O'connor instead.
Not arsed if everyone ooc gets released.
Thought the 2 Aussie boys had a dig, but I'm clutching at straws....
We need what Powell did at Wire last season. Chop and change this season with heavyinvestment for 24. Not sure if Pearson has the appetite to tear up contracts though.

We have the worst wing combination in the league. Swift is a trier but nothing more and Macintosh is just awful.

The problem with tearing up contracts is they still count on the cap, so we'd end up losing a player and not replacing them. Getting rid of one or two as a statement to the rest could work though, and even just 1 or 2 leaving can alter the dressing room culture.

Didn't think they did now with the cap being live?
