Can't take anything away from Salford , Who I though were excellent in all the things missing from Hull performance . Great support play , Line speed was twice as quick as ours , Offloads totally killed us .

Little point trying to big up Cam Scott because he isnt good enough
McIntosh as we have said has been a poor signing
Savelio still not match fit
Smith keeps going on quite rightly about our tackle technique but whatever they are trying to get the players to do clearly isnt working.
Have to say we do have some really dumb players who are slow in thinking and also slow on their legs.
This game now as we know is all about pace and defence and we lack both.
Smith has very few options as there are no young reserves who are ready for Super League but have to say the attitude of most players stinks.
You have to feel sorry for Adam Pearson

Perhaps Adam Pearson is part of the problem

Just hope Wakefield stay firmly in the basement. Saints are hurting and I’d love us to twist the knife but we can’t even tie our laces as it stands. As others have said, a few need dropping.

Unfair to single out any individual but what in fook is Ellis actually coaching? Defence is organisation and attitude and we’ve got neither.

All men are created equal, some work harder in preseason.

Well played Salford, some very entertaining free flowing RL though obviously aided by such an abject defensive display from Hull.

Some of the attempts at tackling were pathetic and Smith has a huge job on his hands to lift this rabble for Friday night which has the makings of another 60/70 point mauling.

Lovodua looked a great prospect early last year but I'm afraid to say he offers very little. Lane isn't good enough, Evans is another waste of a quota spot and McIntosh tries but looks nothing like the player he was at Huddersfield.Taylor and Houghton are finished.

Gonna be a long season and hopefully the club are already looking at a squad overhaul for 2024.

The traditional mid season collapse has started early.

Lets face it we have some very average players who when faced with a bit of adversity throw the towel in.

I don't get the booing of Sneyd at all. Some fans have short memories. He should be applauded for what he's done for us.

We were gash today but as per usual people just try blame same players. Clifford was probably our only decent player on the day and Mcintosh was probably one of our least poop. Bloke stopped about 4/5 tries and all the breaks were inside of him.

I’m ready to write Evans off, bloke has a peach of an offload but plods the ball up. Just need more.

Jordan Lane wouldn’t get in the wakey side on this seasons showing. They went straight through him for a penalty tap.

Think smith needs to get the hatchet out this season. These players probably need moving on so we can refresh

Evans, houghton, Taylor, Scott, lovodua, griffin, shaul, Dwyer.

I love joeys versatility but quota player needs to be in 13 every week I think

Yeah, Dwyer is class going forward but a liability in D and we just can’t carry him

Cam Scott & Jordan lane have never kicked on from promising 19 year olds. Think the club needs to wonder why no youth hits their potential.

I love Carlos and savelio as players but maybe theyneeds looking at. Hardly on the pitch for 2 years and age is against Carlos

We probably need to try unearth some gems from championship who will be desperate to make it. Far too many players in this side willing to coast.

Performance was awful today and genuinely looked like fash was only one bothered, he looked broken on the side line

Next season we need

2 props
3 back rowers (one superstar)
2 hookers
1 Centre (if we offload Carlos)

And that’s probably bare minimum

A disgusting peformance today, Salford played well but we didnt look up for it from the off and some of the attempted tackles were an absolute joke.

About half the squad can go for me, either too slow, too injury prone or just average in all aspects. I can only hope we do some good scouting and get our recruitment right for 2024.

2 new wingers too, McIntosh is just average and offers nothing an academy winger couldent offer, Swift always looks one tackle away from an injury layoff and if his wages are high can be better spent elsewhere. Neither were the worst out there today however.
