Would you say ‘fine I’ll come in’ if your wife and new baby needed you, and you were entitled to some leave from work to help out? If it was a playoff game maybe, but not for this no….

FWIW - yes I would. But each to their own.
I find it strange that he was happy to play when she was going into labour, but isn't playing a week later.

Who said he wasn't happy to play this week? Sounds like Rohan made the decision for him. It's a great thing that the club are prepared to support players in this way and might well pay off the next time he comes to renegotiate his contract.
Good on him and Rohan, you don't get these early days with a new born back. He would have to train through the week and be around the team for a good chunk of tomorrow so it's not just like he does his stint and he's off. Strange views that a dad would just keep working. Not to mention they won't have extended family here to support.

New baby with no family support over here, well personally im glad the club and Rohan are looking out for them tather than making them train and play this week. rRS seems big on olayer welfare and i think that’s great.
Same goes for Gannon, RS has saod theres no need to rush him back and they need to look at why he’s getting these knocks rather than just throwing him back out there.
I find it very amusing that 81 minutes of rugby ago we were the worst team in the league and RS needs to go. Now we are challanging for the LLS and have one of the best squads in the business. I love this sport and its supporters ))
