Is Lovodua a hooker ? Cant seem to pass, his distribution is the worst Ive seen. That said just shows how poor the squad is when you have to play people like Houghton and Lovodua in the middle.
Think your being harsh on players like Lane and Mcnamara who both have time on there side, deffo too early to write Benny Mac off. If I am honest I am more concerned by players who are supposed to be more senior. People go after Evans but Sao steals a wage for me.
But he's done nothing since wire and that was only a league leaders in 2016 ( if you fail the play offs is like winning the charity shield )
Lane is bang average, hasn't kicked on he's 26 this year not a "prospect" anymore
Mcnamara has time on his side but he's gunna be another "youngster" till he's 26/27 doing nothing

I don't think the loss is a shock, but the scoreline is disappointing. Think Smith is still trying to find his best side, I do think we needed the workrate and defence of a Houghton or Cator.
I'd certainly look to change Dywer to bench hooker and start Houghton, drop Mcintosh and McNamara, Mcintosh too many errors, lightweight and poor defence. I've not seen anything from McNamara to say he I good enough yet for SL, slow, doesn't take on the line, poor kicking and hasn't that killer pass, I saw more from Hookem in 40 minutes that ie seen from McNamara.
I think we have to go with Lovodua at 6, not perfect, but he can run and cause problems as we saw a few times last season.
Bring in one of Mitch, Wynne or Litten on the wing.
I think some fans got carried away with our start and now a few are overreacting to this loss.
Big game next week though, with Saints away the week after, important we beat Salford, which won't be easy the way they play.

The highlights are on the super League website now, not good watching. A McIntosh knock on early on and the Evans high tackle in the next set led to their first points, McIntosh comes in too far for their first try, the remaing tries are all in gaps around lane, Griffin and Dwyer

Just watched them now. They did a good job isolating Dwyer.
Think Darnell needs taking out the team for a few weeks. I'd drop Lane for Cator too.
Hopefully Tex isn't too serious. Smith said he got a knee in the back
