I think Dwyer may have already agreed to be elsewhere next year if you believe some of the talk, but he has shown us exactly what we need from dummy half; pace and vision. I'd get Sao and Satae signed up, not sure on Savelio though, as badly as we need him now, I would be looking for someone more durable in the back row, so we can build a consistent and reliable pack. Sao, prior to his dead leg, was very good and I think he'll shore up things when Satae and Taylor are off the pitch. If Taylor can maintain this form, great and give him another year. Connor Wynne really needs a big year and needs to curb his temper and emotion, there is a player in there, so I'd give him a go, along with Scott. Balmforth is reckoned to be a player with potential, so if he stays we should expect him to be introduced gradually this year, otherwise I think we'll need some more dummy half options as Lovo, for me anyway, is not worth a quota spot. Evans is one I'd let go, there are some superb NSW props to tap up and I am sure Smith will have some good contacts. I just hope Hoy stays, I have a nagging doubt about him staying for 2 years, hope I am wrong but something tells me he won't.

Might have imagined it, but thought we had a 12 month option on Dwyer?

I'd maybe look to release evans and sign a big strong backrow with the quota spot, Tanginoa at Wakey would be a good shout or someone from a 2nd tier Aus team.

No, it was just a straight one-year deal.

He's moved over though so if he's happy and settled and enjoying his rugby it would be good to get that extended before too long.

Jowitt out for Trinity for a few months. Wonder if they'll be looking at Shaul again for a loan move.

I've heard it's already been agreed.

I wouldn’t write Evans off yet, there’s definitely a player in there. Overseas signing usually take a season to adapt so hopefully we’ll see the best of him.

Lovodua is the difficult one. In the modern game, a player with his versatility is massive for the 17 but are we losing out on a top quota back rower for him. That the decision smith needs to make.

Taylor and Savelio are ones I’d consider keeping but i think pay cuts would be need (Taylor a big on). Savelio’s talent is unquestionable but his body breaks down far too much.

I’d like to see us promote from within a bit to show confidence in youth.

Litten takes shauls role
Balmforth takes houghtons (3rd choice)
Brown/Stavely/Laidlow for Taylor if he goes
Maybe even let Mitch go to blood Wacokecoke and Armstrong

Then we can look at recruiting some quality, my gut says we add Matty English and a backrower. Then it’s down to how successful our retention is.

Pretty much spot on for me, Lover for as good as a versatile player he is you need your quota players to be in a set position IMO. Agree on Tag give him a rolling year on less money and offer Savelio the same.
