Unfortunately I don't think there's anyone that could get Gale back to any sort of glory. He's another player that has probably reached his time in the game at pro level. I don't think he has ever really been a top class HB and think Cas' style under Powell suited him and latterly alongside Trueman. Its fair to say his career either side of his time at Cas have not been that glorious, far from it.

Having read the comments from our coach at his weekly press conference today how great it is to have such an honourable honest and open guy heading our club. If anyone hasn't read them I would suggest it's a must read. His respect for his previous employers is so refreshing and his comments about SKD and his admiration for the Rovers player balanced with his respect for them as his past employers is something we at the FC have never seen before from a Coach. Following that with his honesty about Satae and other clubs courting him is such a change from the smoke and mirrors guff other coaches have fed us fans with in the past. No question asked by Dan Tomlinson was unanswered and at last we have a Mail reporter who asked the questions we are all asking. I think in Tony Smith as far as openness and credibility is concerned we have the best coach in Super league and as fans we have to invest in his beliefs and ways of working because I think he has our best interests as fans at heart. Grand stuff.

Indeed and it’s all about setting the right examples from the top.
Some my say Smiths naive and the great unwashed with their ‘Toys out Tony’ and other laughable comments but I think it shows a real honest level of respect from the guy. Maybe some things will go against us but on the whole I feel the majority will go the way that Smith wants due to his honesty and respectfulness to all everyone he deals with in and out of the club.
