Maybe it's to do with progressively loading the steel trusses and transferring equal load into the main structure behind (so you don't bend it at one side effectively).
McNamara is still not happy with our pitch but they managed to beat Leigh though...
Catalans Dragons boss Steve McNamara:
"We've had the worst week ever with sickness and infections from injuries sustained in our first game at Wakefield.
"We've lost a number of players, so to do that against a very good Leigh side was incredible.
"There's plenty of blood around in the changing room again, the scabs are all off again, we've got seven players on antibiotics from last week so most of the team weren't feeling too great before kick-off."
Wonder how many of our players were suffering the after-effects...Lyne, Jowitt ???

Edited Poptart Don't do the WC. Consider this first and final warning.

and why didn't Hull, Halifax and Fev suffer the same effects. McNamara is a whinger and holds a grudge. They get a few grazes etc and what do UK teams get when they go there? I wonder why they got fined recently and it wasn't their first offence.

Some of our players have had infections caused by the pitch. It's dreadful at this moment in time. And our players are on it every day, Catalans are lucky they don't have to play on it again.
