Wow, doesn't time fly? 10 years ago already that. We had done the Otley Run in the afternoon courtesy of a hired mini-bus and a nominated driver. We weren't in a very good condition by the time we reached Headingley and the Skyrack come the evening (an understatement ). Was gutted when Gaz never made it out for kick-off and think we went on to get well spanked. 3 months re-hab for Gaz but he was to come back to lead us to the Golden Fleece 3 years later, then repeat. Happy days.

Think Its fair to say even at this early stage this is an acid test game for us to see where we are as a team. Leeds last week looked poor against Warrington, granted Wire looked good but they dominated Leeds down the middle completely. I thought Leeds looked to haveno real direction or cohesion and missing Oledzki & Prior gone they look very vulnerable down the middle. Whilst I don't think Leeds will be as bad as they were last week I still think we should be able to dominate down the middle, as long as we play with the intensity and desire we did in the first half and sort the defence out in terms of stopping off loads and missed tackles.
If we aspire to be one of the competing clubs these are games need to start winning where as in the past we have slipped up and had a tonking ourselves.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Everybody was beating everybody start of last season. Teams were cr@p one week then hammering someone the next at the start of last season Would be nice to build some momentum but wouldn't be overshocked if Leeds bounce back and beat us tonight. Early days.

System will not allow me to reply by "quote" to both posts so to mwindass....... As the Huddersfield v Warrington match is scheduled to finish before the Leeds game your statistic will be correct if Huddersfield and Hull win.
To GrahamBray...... Congrats. you win the Chocolates!
