Great effort by Saints, like all great teams they never accept they are beaten and always find that extra “something” to get over the line. Congratulations to them, they’ve set the standard and it’s up to us to reach that level.
That might be rather difficult with our current forwards….

Games like this are a no lose for me. Either I’m amused by St Helens losing a big game or I’m amused by an Aussie team losing.

Given all the nonsense in the Australian press I’m delighted St Helens have won. No doubt there will be a load of excuses come out in the next week. One thing is for sure, Penrith took that seriously, their reaction after the equalising try proved that.

I just wish England can do the same sometime soon.

Well done Saints, great for our game over here.
Did Penrith declare at halftime as Phil Gould said they would.

Wait till all the excuses start coming even the Penrith player said "first game ",pathetic, absolutely pathetic.

We'll deserved win, saints were easily the better team. Robbed of a perfectly good try late in the second half. They showed great character to get the win after letting in the late try. Defence was superb and they always looked the more likely team to score. Well done but hope that's the only thing they win this season :D

Quote from Graham Lowe - "I'm 49, I've had a brain haemorrhage and a tripple bypass and I could still go out and play a reasonable game of rugby union ......... but I wouldn't last 30 seconds in rugby league!"

Saints were far the better side and they fully deserve the plaudits that they will now rightly receive.

I had a feeling they’d do it because it just feels like it’s a game they’ve built towards for 5 years, whereas the other team clearly see their own league as the club pinnacle and that’s really not to take anything away from Saints. They were too good for them.

Thanks for that mate, appreciate it. Has been good to have the whole of British RL behind the team and glad they didn’t let anyone down.

Great win. No bragging here, just delighted they did themselves and SL proud.

Pretty good day to be a Saints fan given our performance today to provide them the icing on the cake.

Unofficially the most boring poster on Cherry and White.
