Was interesting to hear that Wire had been after Clifford.
Agreed I thought their pack was huge and that's without McGuire for the next couple of months. Vaughan looked good but then Leeds didn't have any answer to anything Wire did and were well deserved winners. However the question is can they keep that intensity up throughout the season and remain injury & suspension free.
Clifford all been well will be better than drinkwater

So Smith has now named his first squad for the opener Savelio and Sao named but no Carlos
1. Tex Hoy 2. Adam Swift 4. Liam Sutcliffe 5. Darnell McIntosh 7. Jake Clifford 8. Ligi Sao 9. Danny Houghton 10. Chris Satae 11. Andre Savelio 12. Jordan Lane 13. Brad Fash 14. Joe Lovodua 15. Joe Cator 16. Kane Evans 17. Cameron Scott, 19. Ben McNamara 20. Jack Brown 23. Josh Griffin 25. Davy Litten 30. Scott Taylor 33. Brad Dwyer.
Certainly some selection headaches for Smith and some players that are going to be disappointed but its a long season so will get the opportunity.
Great news on the ticket front too with the club now expecting a 14K plus crowd, just hope they team can go out play some decent rugby now.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Really, really hard to pick the 17, I'd say Litten us the only one, who definitely won't make the 17.
Backs are easy to pick (hopefully doesn't go with Griffin at centre) Pack and bench I go with
Taylor Dywer Satae Griffin Lane Fash
Sao (Evans if out) Brown Lovodua Savelio (Houghton if out)

I can see us using Dre and Sao for 40 minutes whether we use Ligi in 2nd row remains to be seen. I'd start with Dwyer get us on the front foot 1. Tex Hoy 2. Adam Swift 4. Liam Sutcliffe 17. Cameron Scott 5. Darnell McIntosh 19. Ben McNamara 7. Jake Clifford 30. Scott Taylor 33. Brad Dwyer. 10. Chris Satae 11. Andre Savelio 12. Jordan Lane 13. Brad Fash Subs 14. Joe Lovodua/9. Danny Houghton 8. Ligi Sao 16. Kane Evans/20. Jack Brown 23. Josh Griffin One of Lover or Mint 18th man 25. Davy Litten 15. Joe Cator
