Was it a play off game or the League Leaders Shield decider? Heady days, to think we had a chance of a clean sweep of trophies is unimaginable.

Yep. Semi final 2016. Lost 23 - 6. Brilliant atmosphere just before kick off - then the game started....

That's definitely the year we threw away the best we'd ever had to not just get back to a GF but to go on to win. Had we not won the CC I honestly believe we'd have gone on to take the LLS and the GF.
Such a shame we never built on that year but at least we now seem to heading in the right direction and experienced people now within the club to help get it back up there not just to occasionally challenge but to regular challengers and winners. As much a don't like Rovers I believe their improvement will also be of help to us and vice versa.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!
Can't wait till Sunday. Really positive ATM. Not saying where gonna win any trophys but I honestly believe we will have a good season. For me that would be top 6 finish and no hammerings and getting the fans believing we have a team to be proud of.
once a black and white always a black and white COYH

I think we were better in 2017
Kelly was better than pryce or any sneyds partners in 2016 and added a new string to the bow
No doubt "comeonyouull" will come and say pryce was better

It was the last game of the "Super 8s" and the loss meant Warrington won the League Leaders Shield and we dropped from 2nd to 3rd and therefore missed out on a home play off. It was the first time we'd been out of the top two since May. We lost three of the four Super 8 games after the Cup win.
It was a great occasion though with a big travelling contingent from Warrington.

Although the result didn’t go our way, Wire were excellent and fully deserved their win, but as you say it was a fabulous crowd attendance, the atmosphere was electric, and these are the games we all remember and want to be involved in.
