Are you an expert? or do you just hold a view on the matter?
There are some so called experts who do agree with his view.

Also, I don't think that his position of influence is all that big.

Nobody has said that. Why do you keep twisting people's words?

I'm not an expert but prepared to believe the vast majority of medical experts who say vaccinations are completely safe.

Had he been a pro vaxxer and had been promoting the need to be vaccinated, would he still be advised to keep shut?

Not everyone is like a sheep in such matters.
But obviously the vaccines are not completely safe are they?

So believing the vast majority of experts on a particular matter is being a sheep now is it?

Anyway, personally I think its a shame that he, like anyone, is peddling anti-vax stuff as I believe it to be a load of bunk however he is entitled to do so however much I may dislike it.

Let him say what he wants on the matter. If anybody is looking at sports people for role models they need to ask themselves a few questions.

sadly its a sign of the times and for me it shows a level of nievity on the players behalf. He's only retweeting something but by doing so he involves himself in the debate and it gives others the opportunity to imply that he is taking sides. People in the public eye should consider their position very carefully and understand that they are constantly under scrutiny. The old adage of letting your actions on the field do the talking is a good one. I remember at the time thinking that although he was Rovers Coach Tony Smith got it spot on when he refused to comment on how many Rovers players had had a jab because that was their decision and he respected That, he also failed to comment on it himself because it was nothing to do with rugby and thus only his opinion. that was a good call and people in the public eye have to realise they are just that, always under scrutiny and always up there to be shot at. Storm in a tea cup for me. Only of course my opinion.

He was anti-lockdown and in favour of spreading the virus while a family member of mine lay dying in hospital. He can say what he wants. And we can call him a nobhead.

"Need to scrap this tier s*** and get us back to normal, we can decide for ourselves what risks we wanna take"

Nobhead.
