They don't own their ground, have a recent history of contract issues/not paying players, reliant on one slightly but not very rich owner, no website, done a rebrand that somehow produced a non-digital compliant logo, no elite academy, no real on-field track record.
Low grade B/upper grade C looks likely to me.
And yet still have the same chance as Leeds of winning a grand final lmao.

What do you think IMG or the RFL need to do to make RL better for the masses?

Obviously changing RLFans again is bad, because I am getting old and I don't like change, changing my profile picture to a trading card is just weird. And I'm still grumpy that there was so little engagement on here with the world cup.
IMG's first job, tell people that slagging off other club's facilities, or attacking someone else for talking about yours doesn't get you any franchise category points!
Selling the game should be about the game on the field, and building up what community spirit we have left, and all this division and arguing about grounds/income etc isn't helping us do that.

4 pages of 'grievances' and all I've read is people having a pop at leigh! I'm no fan of Beaumont at all, but it seems to me that fans are quite worried the newly promoted team aren't going to be the easybeats they usually are.

An egomaniac making amateurish branding decisions doesn't really have too much to do with how they will fare on field (and even then.... let's remember who their coach is).
It's almost 2023, two months after the disastrous first launch of their rebrand, and Leigh Leopards still don't have a functioning website. Beaumont deserves all the mocking he is getting.
"Brian McDermott, with a wry smile, nods when asked if he remembers a specific incident which made him realise he was a prick. 'I do', he murmurs."

Even as a Leigh fan I haven’t always agreed with what DB has said and done, and the lack of a website is a disappointment, but the rebrand has been far from disastrous, Leigh have arguably been in the RL press more than any other club since it’s happened, they’ve got the biggest sponsorship deal ever for Leigh, I’d be surprised if any other team in SL have given their supporters a better method of issuing their season tickets/memberships, of which they’ve sold more than ever before, inside some random membership packages are 23 Letters or numbers which if you we’re lucky enough to get one and you get the words they make correct you’re upgraded to a box for a game, there’s also cards in others which state you have been bitten by the Leopard and get either upgraded to hospitality, or free guest, it’s been a fun bit of free marketing, that’s got the locals talking.

Wow, not too many suggestions on how to improve the game, looks like it's going to e another great season, with Saints winning another GF. The big question is just what will IMG propose and how solid will the criteria be.
Also, will the changes that eventually com in make the slightest difference to the domestic and international game.
We had a great world cup "event" but, aside from some growth of wheelchair RL, what will be the legacy of the comp and perhaps more importantly., what more should the game at all levels be doing regarding player safety and head checks etc. The issues relating to this aren't going to go away and it could kill the game (and Union).

Since this is my first post advertising my YouTube channel I thought I'd introduce myself properly since you'll be seeing my face and getting to know me a bit... So hi everyone, I'm Rob.
I actually made a video on this topic about 2 weeks ago because I'm really passionate about growing/fixing/changing Super League. It's an hour long 'presentation' (boring I know) with 11 different aspects for Super League and International Rugby.
I suggested some VERY radical changes to Super League. Some that I know a lot of people will massively disagree with but I have tried to give some reasonings as to why I'd implement them. But I'm always open for discussion.
I tried to go into as much detail as possible on everything: League Structure Overtime Format Rule Changes Magic Weekend Salary Cap & Transfers TV Deals & Schedule Showcase Event Tier System Extras for Rugby League Dream for Rugby League International Games
