With the Festivus season upon us, it is time to air our grievances and say what we think.

What do you think IMG or the RFL need to do to make RL better for the masses?

They need to stop believing clubs who promise a new stadium to get a licence yet 10 years later are still in the same dump.

Like Castleford. Or what about clubs that don't own their own ground?

Clubs with no assets to fall back on and totally reliant on rich owners are a bigger problem than clubs who are still working on getting their stadia in order. In particular Huddersfield and Wigan, as by far the biggest loss-makers and most reliant on sugar-daddies, are clubs who should be marked down in these respects; they are simply not viable businesses and are disasters waiting to happen.

Well you would have to put Hull,Leigh and Leeds (a sporting club own the stadium as well as Leeds RU and Leeds RL ,poss the cricket as well) I believe.
Also would like to point out that Wigan and Hudds and the rest will not disappear anytime soon.
I also believe Wigan have assets at Orrell old RU ground.

Hull are quite prudently run and don't rack up huge losses year after year like Wigan and Huddersfield although no doubt they wish they had a rich backer and more security against landlord antics. Leigh we all know are a disaster waiting to happen but they're not in SL yet and probably won't stick around for very long anyway.

What you think you know about Leeds meanwhile is utterly incorrect. Leeds own, and have always owned, the stadium, there is no "sporting club" involved. Leeds rugby union were for a time under common ownership and rented the stadium but that is no longer the case and they don't even play at Headingley any more. Yorkshire Cricket have owned the cricket ground since Leeds sold it to them 15 or more years ago.

Thankyou for your correction to the ownership of Headingley, who owns the stand at the cricket as I was in the believe that some times if a match is on rather be it cricket or Rugby the other club cannot play at the same time.
I am sure you will inform me.
Wigan are part owned By Danson who is a Billionaire and Lenners friend and business partner so I do not think we are going anywhere my friend.

As aside every team apart from Wakefield lost money and the biggest losses were Wigan and St Helens.

Leeds Tykes have played Sale 17/12/22- so sometimes they do play at Headingly.

As long as Leigh invest everything into only first team players and scrimp on everything else they will not be taken seriously. A decent coach might help too.

No doubt when this latest bit of short-termism falls apart Beaumont will do a runner and stop paying everyone like he did last time.
