It would appear RS is looking at options fir Captain in 2023, maybe a different option. Reece Martin would be the logical choice. Think Leeming did ok but maybe needs to concentrate in taking his game to the next level. We have lacked a natural captain for some time, we were blessed with Kev then natural successors in Mcguire.

There doesn’t seem to be an obvious choice. I don’t think McGuire was a good captain either and we have struggled with this since Sir Kev

Id give Martin it, with Smith taking over in a few years. I think Leeming probably needs to concentrate on his game rather than worry about being captain, I think it can weigh heavy on some players.

I think Martin is the only option. Potentially Smith or Gannon in a few years.

Martin for me. Kruise needs to focus on his own game and pushing on. Its not as if we dont have a number of senior voices in the squad anyway.

Yep Martin followed by Myler or possibly Sezer. Certainly not Handley.

It can only really be Martin. Other option for me is Oledzki, hopefully he will be around for a good while yet and he seems the type that would thrive on the responsibility.
It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.

You'd think Martin would be first choice. I can't of anyone else with decent experience except Sezer, but does he play enough. Not sure about the Mik shout. Surely he's in the same bracket as Leeming and needs to be concentrating on moving up to the next level

For me it oughtn't to be someone who's part of the interchanges - you'd want them out there. That leaves Martin and...
