Spot on, it's all right getting such as alloy wheels and the like on the cheap darn Cas, but the costs for building materials are spiralling out of control, I think that will be a far bigger problem than any planning permission.

There is then an argument that they are better placed than we are for the future especially if you factor in they can regularly get 8,000 crowds

Sorry Avenger I know your just trying to get a discussion going but every bit of that is wrong.

Who says Axiom will pay? I seriously doubt they will unless there is a sudden need to. We only got paid because the need to develop another site made NM suddenly important regardless planning.

There are virtually no restrictions on the Cas Vegas site, so there is no rush, Axion can sit on that land for decades as YC would have done were it not for a series of fortunate events.

Assuming they get 8 million, and who says they will, they won’t get the grandstand we now have, it will have doubled in cost. Remember we ordered most of our material before the worst of it.

The idea of spreading the money around the site simply fails to grasp what IMG and the RFL want. Attendances matter of course they do but both clubs currently have capacities they rarely trouble.

The issue with BV and even more so Wheldon road is that they are facility poor! We didn’t build the East stand as the state of the art structure it for its capacity. We built it to give us SL facilities to match the top clubs.

Cas need to do exactly the same, a stand identical to ours, new floodlights, a screen and eventually a new pitch. Without these they can’t compete and are doomed.

I reckon to do what we’ve done, it would now cost Cas upwards of 15 million. And they still wouldn’t have the earning potential of the flats added on. They won’t get close to that from Axion imho.

They are totally stuffed and im. It gloating, because no Cas is a bad thing for us.

I don't think that would matter.
If Cas did what you said they'd still have people picking up on the issues (same as we will) so it's not like they can con an A grade.

I hope they get to develop, they have plenty of space whether it's Wheldon Road or elsewhere but they don't have problems getting people in so it's not as urgent for them.

And to be honest, no one knows what the criteria will be for IMG so it's all guess work.

It would be difficult to argue with any of that.

At the event the other night they put up the potential criteria that has been provided to the club's in the IMG report. The club is working towards this for a grade A. One of the big areas outside facilities, teams crowds etc is the financial state and also the investment. The new stand looks like perfect timing to support some of this

Yep, defo the financial state.
Which is a lot better than most other clubs.

Let's be right here.

The IMG recommendations as a whole are mostly common sense. Regardless of whether the Grade A or B idea is implemented or not, Grade A is still what all clubs should be aiming for IMO.

Bit more of the frame up.

Certainly moving at a pace. I think it was just a week ago I pointed out the 7th roof post was being positioned, now the 10th post is ready, but it’s also noticeable that extensive steelwork has been done towards the rear of the stand. Once the main framework has been done, there is still a great deal of work to do. Will the upper floor Need laying before the roof is fitted, it will be awkward to lift the concrete terrace steps onto the base girders due to restricted space, it’s looking good now, how good will it look when the terrace is in place. :D
