If this swap thing is genuine and we can’t be sure it is then Johnson and Tindall both fit the bill. If we were to get a better player in then not bothered if either or both go as I don’t see a future at Leeds as first pick players but it makes little sense unless the incoming player is a match day 17 player and to be honest can’t envisage that. At a club like Leeds there will always be an issue keeping youngsters and some like Gale will leave and become better players by getting regular starts. I do believe on the whole we manage to keep the better ones like Gannon and Smith.

I do not understand signing him, he will expect to play otherwise he wouldn't have left Cas, and I just don't think he's a great winger and has no relevant experience in other positions.
I'm sure he thinks the sun shines out of my ar53...
I know what you mean but it’s clear Smith wants to play a faster game and we had a pack last year that barely bent the line, never mind broke it. My guess is he’s looking at backs than can break the line, create quicker play the balls and get us moving faster. Olpherts does that well.
Hopefully, Lisone, Sangerre and Holroyd can add to that up front and a new big centre can add to it as well.

Fair point that’s a lot of young backs for Smith to look at and work with next year. Some need game time and will need loaning out to Championship. Although I get the feeling he likes Tindall.

If we bring in a left Centre then it’s been a good off season for recruitment. Next year we are likely to lose Austin, Sezer, Donaldson, Fusitua, Tetevano and perhaps Tindall too, plenty of room there to continue the evolution.
It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.

Yep. Two halves might take a lot of bedding in. If Sezer can prove his fitness I'd look to keep and then pull out the stops to get Mikey Lewis, who is off contract at the end of 2023.
