His huge wage can be used elsewhere and i would say the club are probably relieved as he has 3 years left on it. He has been one of the better players to come back but ultimately not a patch on what he was. Tyson Frizzell is a great shout. He is seemingly unwanted by Newcastle and most NRL clubs have already got their signings in place. Frizzell would go great over here and is a power pack second rower. His Origin days are over so i would be delighted to get that one in. It would make sense to the Mago rumours and would seemingly accelerate Hill and Nsemba's progress into the first team. I still want Royce Hunt from Cronulla but thats 2 cap spaces so i will have to keep dreaming on that one
That's my take on Bateman too, pretty much. Good business by the club. Can't believe Tyson Frizzell is unwanted in the NRL, cracking player if available.

please let this be true with Singleton, I'll drive him to where he's going to myself....

Singleton was good last season imo, one of our better props and for me he was better than Cooper when he arrived. I wouldn’t be devastated if he left as we are pretty stacked at prop and he’s very similar to Cooper but to say you’d drive him away from the club is very harsh, I’d sooner see Mago leave over Singleton.

I agree - But you've missed the most important factor
Brad Singleton doesn't have a Song named after him like Patrick Mago has It was the same with Ryan Sutton, got called relentlessly by some, but Tony Clubb had a song so he was ok

Objectively, what is it that Singleton brings to the table? His stats aren't that impressive. Plus, he's always a sound bet for a good penalty, or a few weeks in the stands too. Granted he's experienced &, I can't judge his impact off the field, but I'm not sure if that experience transfers to the 80mins of actual rugby.
I've always thought that Cooper is the player we hopped Singo would be for us. Experienced operator, as good on the field as off it. A guy that in situations like Magic weekend (where we struggled 1st 20 imo) is going to win collisions and get yards etc.

I think he had a good season and improved as it went on, he’s not the biggest meter maker but he’s aggressive in attack and defence, he’s far from a world beater and I wouldn’t be too bothered if he left but I think he’s far from a dud and as I said in my previous post I think in the period after Cooper joined Singleton actually performed better for us. I would also guess he’s not on a big wage which is a big plus. I just think saying you’ll drive him to his next club is very harsh.
