Maybe because his contract is too expensive but that's the clubs fault not his.

We need our senior players to be leaders in a positive way. We need them to see our young players doing extras after training and encourage them and help them with their game. We need to see them giving 100% in training and leading a healthy lifestyle away from the club. We need them to give 100% when out on the field and not disappear for large parts of the game.

I hear some of our senior players (current and recently left) didn't/don't do these things and do the opposite.

I suspect Patton's reputation is well known and that's why he ended up in the championship with us. As for the contract extension whoever did that needs to give themselves an uppercut.

To be fair, far from being described as "stupid" I think it was universally hailed as great news on this forum when it happened.

Agreed, most of us were happy when he signed but in hindsight it was a bad decision. We are now stuck with a disruptive bad apple that is taking up a chunk of budget and who's clearly not part of MDs plans. Hopefully we can get shut, another example of a senior player taking the p**s last year. We have manged to rid our selves of Crossley, Kibula,Walker etc. Hopefully Patten is next

Why is he a "disruptive bad apple" and why is he taking the p**s?
I just don't get where this is coming from. Examples please?

Some of us are privileged to have access to more info from within the camp than people realise. I'm not going to give specifics of what goes on behind closed doors.

What I will say, it was obvious to all that Dec's shirt got considerably tighter around his middle the more the season went on. Senior players should be setting examples on how to keep in shape in look after your self. Whilst he wasn't alone in this it was a p**s take to his team mates and all that payed to go watch him play that he didn't care enough to keep himself in decent condition. That's not the kind of attitude I want our players to have. Thankfully most of the others who didn't see the importance of keeping them selves fit have been shipped out. Hopefully he's not far behind.

I agree he did put some timber on later in the season and if you know he was disruptive then I agree, get shut.

What about a go for Kiisan Inu? He's 35 years old but can still perform also a good goalkicker.

What are the chances that this 'silent backer' is actually a secret loan from the RFL?
