Makes sense to give Shaul a chance, even if Wakefield want him id imagine they want us to cover a lot of his wages. Trueman wont be fit for the start of the season so Hoy may be needed at 6. And Jamie needs a new contract from someone for 2024 so should be keen to impress. Theres no point getting rid if we have to cover most of his wages and then cant sign anyone decent anyway.

I'd rather play McNamara at 6 and keep Hoy at 1.

For me, my money would be on Ben McNamara stepping in to the halfs as cover until Truman is fully recovered and fit.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Think it was very clear by the end of the season there was zero team spirit and from what I heard it came to a boiling point after the Rovers game.

It was very interesting to compare the player's reactions on social media to Gale & Connor leaving compared to when Reynolds & Johnstone (who was very popular) left.

Mentioned it when Connor left. Can't remember seeing any players mention him on SM, spoke volumes

The step change we need is the players looking past that Reynolds and Johnstone were a good laugh but actually let the side down with their performances. Im sure many of us will have worked with a someone who is a good laugh but lets the side down with their actual work!

Not performing on the field generates pressure from the fans and can lead to new contracts being at risk and nothing can be worse for dressing room atmosphere than a team down on morale with plahers who cant get a deal anywhere.

To be fair to JJ I don’t think he lacked effort, he just wasn’t Super League standard.

Has anyone seen the cake Reynolds had made to propose to his girlfriend with?
The scoreboard on it says Bulldogs 35 : Hull 0

If I was Reynolds I'd be looking at keeping my private life, well, kinda private.
You'd have thought by having his pants pulled down, and being made to look a total bellend, relationship wise, in the recent past, would be enough self-humiliation for anyone.

Johnstone was never good enough but by all accounts was a great guy who went above and beyond for team mates plenty of times, Savelio is the same. Compared to Gale who was garbage but a toxic player who was hated by the end of his time here, hence why he didn't take up the 2nd year of his contract despite hitting the game requirements.
