A contract was definitely offered but obviously the Dolphins blew that out of the water because ours wasn’t a big one. Williame is on the list and Leeds prefer him, Nene isn’t out of it yet and a shock move for Lafai. I also get the impression with some cryptic wording that Leeds really aren’t happy with Tetevano’s performances. There could be movement there and I will welcome that as I think he is a massive waste and I can’t stand him taking up a quota and marquee.
IF we could lose Prior and Tetevano and say bring in Nene and the prop from Leigh who have both worked with Rohan before then I reckon most of us would be very very pleased with that

Whilst I agree I`m not sure we can match the contracts Leigh are offering their players and at this stage Leigh don`t need to get rid of their overseas players. Maybe Wakefield might take Tetavano as they need more forwards and have space for more overseas signings. Binning both Prior and Tetavano would be a dream come true and we can only hope.

Fascinating stuff. Even if we don't quite get all the changes we might have wanted for 2023 it goes to show that if you're willing to work hard enough you can get a lot done even with limits due to cap etc. We're having the kind of reboot we needed in 2016 or 2018 but just kept putting off and making worse with stupid signings and overlong contracts. Starting with the most important signing, the coach. For the first time since probably Tony Smith it feels like we've got a coach with a plan.

Yep. One thing that has been really apparent is that Rohan is quite prepared to move players who are still under contract on. With that in mind 2023 is a huge season for Myler and Leeming. We are getting to the point where we will have a big chunk of cap to spend on the key spine positions. That's where the marquee wages should be spent.

Agree with most of what you say Loiner but I think You are forgetting Brian McClennan who was a great coach for the Rhinos. It’s what followed a coach with a great team got all the glory despite being dull and at times clueless. Followed by two more poor appointments that were less than inspiring.
