I’m ‘ discounting’ our chances of coming in the top 4 if that’s any help.

Season Tickets are tricky for any sport. If attendances are high (for the stadium size) its a way to guarantee attendance for sell outs and have a reserved seat. With low attendances there is no problem getting in or finding a decent seat.

Generally Season Tickets have minimal savings (maybe a couple of matches for "free"). But few people achieve 100% attendance.

The other part is loyalty and the up front income for the club you support. I get the impression London have really blown that part. When the relationship is good and supporters are proud of the club, newbies getting freebies, reduced prices doesn't matter as everyone wants a club to grow.

During the Pandemic AFC Wimbledon sold Season Tickets; either refundable (for matches with no fans) or non-refundable (potentially a donation). They uptake on the second was high.

After this years relegation many fans said they wouldn't renew. It would be cheaper on a match by match basis if you were unlikely to attend every match. In the end a lot bailed out. The number sold this year increased (4,400 I believe). That leaves match by match availability around 1,800. The rest is Hospitality and Away Fans. Prices were frozen for early renewals but then increased including new ST holders. Despite a guaranteed circa £2 Million from ST's its still questionable how the club have performed !

The club are lucky because no way would they have sold that many if the stadium was much larger. So I see exactly where London fans are coming from. In terms of what has been offered, I'm not sure they could do much more. A compromise of an up front commitment then pay more for any games attended.

The actual problem to me is disenfranchising most of the existing fans. If what was being offered both on and off the pitch showed the club cared, then most long term fans would likely have no issue with the Season Tickets / Memberships. The obvious caveat being the location which will alienate many.

There has to be some improvement on and off the pitch next season. From what I've seen I'm more confident with the former as off the pitch I've seen nothing to suggest any likely improvements.

Don't think most London fans was alienated by the location, I was dubious at first, but the two times I attended, it was pretty easy to get to. The reasons for not going where much more related to the offering served up and current management than where PL was situated.

London fans was more agaisnt the move owing to the cost of hiring the stadium, and the fact that we have to train at different facilites, and the fact the 2nd team have to play in a different venue (while at Ealing we all played at one place). Also the fact we have to travel to kent for a couple of games while the pitch is re-laid.

But I think everybody agreed that the ground and location was not a problem at all, it was everything else around it (cost, different venues, having to move home games mid-season, a spell of 5-6 weeks with no home games etc)

You would hope AFC have already advised the club on the likely effect of pitch maintenance in the summer, although who knows what Mother Nature might throw at us this winter. If the correct pitch was relaid last year then it should only be a repair issue this summer of 2/3 weeks. With the right fixtures that could be just 1 game being moved. Don't think 5 away games on the trot would be acceptable this year. More than 1 game being moved & club should be telling fans that before the end of earlybird pricing.

Let’s start the straw pole here. Who thinks 5-7 away games on the spin is the way to build the club. I’m going to go with Not me. Wouldn’t surprise me though!
