Gildart's got two faults, both of which aren't really his fault. He's had a bad time with injuries and he had the audacity to leave Wigan. Now he's just done a full season, so he could be over point 1 and we can ignore the idiotic nature of Wigan fans for point 2.
The guys got an impressive highlights reel showcasing big moments in big games. I think back to GF, WCC and International moments that King could only dream of.
Of course Wire would rather have Wardle (I would too), but to a man they'll be more than happy with Gildart over King.
Point 1 is not something you can brush aside. He certainly was injured, so much so that I can barely remember the last time he played for us ... it must have been pretty serious, which might explain his lack of impact in the NRL, but it's not something you can safely assume is just over.
Point 2 is a huge assumption on your part. Just saying "everyone's dumb but me and Oli" is never likely to win you an argument.
Also, near enough any pro player can put together an impressive highlights reel.
Anyway, at least now he'll be back with his old mate, George. Just what Warrington need with their current record for backroom indiscipline.
