Always thought he was reasonably solid for Rovers, given that we spent 2019 fighting relegation - wasn’t one of the ones most to blame for that imo. Did have a couple of ropey games - including one after I’d been sticking up for him, iirc. Suffered by comparison with how good some people imagined Chris Atkin might have been if he’d have been picked instead.

I really we have a plan B, if Clifford doesn't happen, hopefully they will get Garrick and the deal will still happen, a few teams including Catalans, Warrington and Wakey who all have non fed spots and might be looking for a halfback.

Manly desperate to keep Garrick, how long can we afford to wait for Newcastle to say if they will release Clifford or not, is it time to look for an alternative option?
