Interesting to see Benjamin Julien starting for France this afternoon. Sure I’d heard he had retired at the end of the season. Would have been a decent signing for us.

Be disappointing to miss out on Longstaff but hopefully we’ll still be able to bring in both a 7 and second row.
Nothing to worry about, all under control.
To be fair, not Smith fault, poor retention and and recruitment from previous coaches and put us in this position.

Korbin Sims also played for Fiji today despite retiring 2 years ago.

I'm not bothered about Longstaff, he doesn't improve our 17 IMO, he was more a long term signing and I wouldn't be surprised to see us sign him for 2024 when we have more cap space.
Not sure if he will play or if the squad number means nothing, but Ligi Sao has the number 11 shirt for Samoa.

Ellam seemed certain we have signed Matty English so if true then I’d be more than happy to see Ligi in the back row. Add Clifford to that then be very happy with next seasons squad.

Think that's more to do with Leilua being stood down tbh.

Not sure on this - English doesn't look very big. The last thing we need is another small forward. If Cator makes a successful return we already have four.

And I grew up under Thatcher.
Am i missing something? - what's this got to do with Hull fc - or rugby league?
