TBF Dave I don't think the club have done anything wrong in terms of how it was handled.
Players move on I don't feel I need the club to announce a signing immediately to placate me just to balance out the news.
They'll be ongoing discussions in the background and I'm happy to be patient.
As a Huddersfield fan why should they wait for news of a new signing just because a few Hull fans might feel miffed.
I dont see the problem with the club not replacing Connor straight away , I'd rather we wait for the right type of player than rush to bring in someone who is no better than what we already have .

I wouldn't rush a signing, but don't know why we had to rush the announcement, Connor contracted to us (probably still is until November 1st) so we could have dictated when they announce it. I've seen a few people on social media getting concerned and I'm sure it will affect some people's decision in renewing.
Not alot of quality out there and if the Clifford deal falls through, I'd be worried about about the quality of his replacement and panic signing like the last two years.

Whats it matter if its announced at the time or in another few weeks. He didnt want to be here so was rightfully moved on, so no its not irrelevant. We are hardly talking about a man of steel or top international here.
Also the hype has being quite for a reason out the club, there is a reason they are happy for the supporters to next expect much. It finally wake a few up and lift some of that unneccessary preassure that gets put on them. Smith isnt one for coming out with wild predictions or statements.

Can’t believe peeps are still fretting that connor left. Not sure what world they live in. If a player wants to leave then let them go asap. An unhappy player creates negative energy around the place. Can you imagine first week back in training with a pet lip down to the boot laces. If we sign a player, then great, if not we crack on until we get the right man. Although Tony Smith wasn’t my choice I do trust him to get the right man on board.
Lastly if replacing JC is making anyone hesitant about renewing their pass then I find it quite sad tbh. There’s far more issues in the world they should be fretting about.

Exactly as one famous lady said, I’m a quitter not a fighter, I think she said that.

Do we have room for a new half and a second row? Longstaff looks Salford bound, so who else is available? What would people say to Corentin Le Cam. He's playing for France later but doesn't have a club.

Even if Shaul is staying , doesn’t only half of his salary count on the cap next season with it being his testimonial or have i got it wrong?
Be disappointing to miss out on Longstaff but hopefully we’ll still be able to bring in both a 7 and second row.
