Sounds like we're trying to manoeuvre to fix some gaps. Even if we had to pay half of Prior's wage at the Bulls, getting him off the quota would mean we'd have two spots.
Looking at the rest of the squad Donaldson would make sense to go. He wouldn't be in the first 17 and we may as well use younger players as backup. Holroyd or Walters on season-long loans might make sense (not both). Holroyd has so much potential but he didn't manage a single game for us this year. Walters is learning the prop role, and doing it in the Championship and then coming back might be sensible - certainly better than playing in the reserves. The only other player I can think of would be Tindall?
Be interesting to see if any of this comes off. A big prop and a centre of first 17 quality would make a huge difference looking at where we're at now.

Be great if we can sign a big powerful prop. Presume we will let a couple go out on loan. Walters/Holroyd and Tindall. Even better if Prior moves on for his final year.
Regarding Hardaker, I don't think it's a huge loss. Presume we will be signing a specialist centre. If so, he is not a guaranteed starter. He did very well while with us and kept his nose clean, obviously after a new contract. But 2 years is a risk. He still has another off field incident in him. I predict it will end badly at Leigh. Good luck to him anyway.
If we get Mcdonald in at centre, get a big powerful prop and do some good loan deals, I think we'll have done decent business.

If we can add Lisone to Sangare I’ll be reasonably chuffed with that. Holroyd knows he needs a very big off season this year. Those three plus Oledski and it’s a good strong front four; allows us to play Tetevano back row / 13 where he belongs.
The side needs a real high quality off season under Hunwicks.
We will have lots of room for a couple of quality signings for 2024 but we should be competitive next year actually. We do have a very exciting batch of young players and we need to give the squad a little time to mature.

Peter Smith reporting we are close to signing Lisone and Hale.
