Shouldnt laugh at Leigh they will cause a few upsets in S/L next season and making sure they dont face relegation. Some seasoned pros like Leutele but with some youth at 7 and 9 and if you add Hardaker at full back they have a very good spine. If we dont strengthen our second row and dont find the right half back i can see them finishing above us next season

Not sure anyone was laughing at their team, more the horrendous rebrand.
Got some decent players, but not the depth and zero youth, reminds me of Salford under the doctor, should stay up though which is their main objective.
As long as we get a 7, we will be fine and should improve on last season.

That's irrelevant to how the club has handled it. They should have held off on an announcement until we had a replacement signed, key time to sell passes and they have created a bit of uncertainty which could have been avoided.

It was obvious a week ago, from how the club statement was phrased.
If Connor and Hull wanted to part ways, there weren’t going to be loads of suitors for a player with his profile, on his wage. Hudds will have wanted to announce it and given Smith was aware he was going from his (Smith’s) first day, it was maybe delayed for as long as was feasible.
You’ve a quota spot and, it’s reasonable to assume, some budget to sign a halfback. Lists of posters who will be happy with the signing / unimpressed, I’m sure we could both predict. Don’t worry - next year will be the same as every other. In an uncertain world, perhaps there’s something comforting in that.
