But what a game good to see teams playing off the cuff rugby

Hopefully teams start realising off the cuff rugby is hard to defend

And Start getting the game back to how it was instead of the same structured plays game in game out

Think they've downgraded some of the tickets - some of the Cat C tickets now showing in the drop down list for Cat D for the NZ v Jamaica game

Think they really needed a rethink on pricing for the group games.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

None of the weekday games have sold out of the lowest pricing categories, so people can still go affordably but I think they see the highest price tickets and instantly decide not for me...every game on BBC doesn't help either, the 2013 world cup only had 7 on BBC so people were more likely to go to the game

BBC Sport story saying 6k sold for Saturday and aiming for 10k. Hate to say it but Craven Park would have been a better choice for the group game. That kind of crowd would fill there but in the MKM it will look sparse.

if they manage to reach 10k tickets for what will be (and no offence to Jamaica) a glorified training session for NZ then i think thats pretty good going

Agreed not only that we only average 11k rovers 7k

Yet people get on the high horse why were not selling out wc games

Most of the games is 99% English rugby league fans so expecting them to fork out every game isn't going to happen

The 2m viewers on TV is more important to growing the game getting non rugby league fans into the game "WOW What a game this is"

It’s not just the price is it though. It’s more the overall cost of paying for a game that whilst it maybe NZ, they are playing Jamaica who with the greatest of respect are not a World renowned RL nation. So expecting fans to turn up to pay £30 upwards for games of this type is crazy.

If I’m honest midweek I’d rather get home from work without having to rush to get to a game without family and simply watch on tv a game that is on paper and in all fairness very one sided.

Whether we like it or not RL currently just doesn’t have the gravitas or following/pull to be able to charge the prices the organisers are.

Being on the bbc is miles better for the game

Getting over 1m viewers for alot of games

Sky 300k very best

I agree. The key to growing the game is terrestrial tv.
Lets hope Channel 4 screen more games with a more attractive kick off time and look at Sundays too.
The BBC could also get good viewing figures by showing a weekly repeat of a live game from SKY.
Sunday around 19.00 would be a good time
