Doesn't Kai hold a British passport? I'm sure the website mentioned that when he signed, he has family links on his mother’s side from Ashington in the North-East.

Doesn’t matter. He must be federation trained - 3 years as a junior at a European club - to not be in the quota.
Squad looks a lot healthier all fit, and I think starting 17 looks good.
Depth looks a little short of quality, and I guess the only other issue is a pretty old (but good) backline. Can they keep the bodies fit and healthy week in week out.
Should be a good opportunity though, sorted it out early and wakey look weaker on paper I think at the moment t
I'm sure we'll bet on the look out to add depth, quality and youth where it is needed - but it's great to see such a good quad assembled at this stage of proceedings.
Big congratulations and thanks to Derek, Chris, Adrian & team(s) for the work and commitment to our great club.
Very happy with the revealed squad. Kai staying is a bid bonus. It is no secret I am a big supporter of his since he was first announced. He will only get better. I also believe this is not the finished article. It’s not far off, but we will see a key addition or two. A big thanks to all who are not retained, and I would liked to have seen Aikens in this group, but quota numbers are what they are, and one more still to go it would appear. It’s going to be a strong team come game day.
First game was in 1967, and have been hooked since day 1. Now live in Vancouver, Canada but follow our team any way I can. “Up The Comics !”
I agree VL. Kai was one I was hoping to retain. The understanding between Kai and Ipape will upset a few SL teams. And yes, I'm sure there will be 1 or 2 more players to come in. I wonder if we will make a move for George Burgess. I know he's got his problems but he is wanting to move on and rediscover his love for RL. Leigh worked out well for Fergie. We need more size in the pack.
