However, if we can keep Sezer, Newman and Fusitua fit (should he stay) and sign up Hardaker, we would be much much better week in week out. The big unknown in terms of other teams is how Saints will go under Wellens, they have still got a mighty strong squad so can't imagine they'll fall out of top 2. Wigan look very strong, that backline looks improved with Wardle coming in. Then i think it's a battle between us Catalan, Salford, Hudds for 3rd and below..
And don`t forget Warrington. It could be their year!

I have been told that Walker should be fit for pre season or at least a good part of it. Obviously with his fitness record it will be difficult moving him on. He is on a decent deal so unless we can find a solution like paying part of his contract he will with us next season. Feel sorry for him as he is a talented lad but just can’t keep fit. Also he is a one position player and we have a number of full backs even if Zac does not sign. Personally I am not sure he will play an other game for us, especially as we have signed Hooley so hopefully something happening in the background!!

Maybe Austin goes to centre, to fill in till Newman is back, which could be a good position for him. Still assuming we are signing another centre. Myler Sezar in half’s, Walker/Hooley full back. Looks like Hardaker is done/going so we really are in hope we gave a new centre signing lined up.

This whole Hardaker topic shows haw badly we are still managing the SC. What a complete mess, if true, that we cannot find room for our best back over the second half of the season when so many other players have left.
It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.

But its not thought.
Hardaker is a good player and as he is utility, he has huge value.
We have to bear in mind that we have just signed Hooley (FB) and we should have Newman back for next season.
Marty Taupau is without a club and Taumalolo has been linked with us. We are ligth in the forwards as everyone keeps saying.
It is classic RLFans to say we have given the likes of Prior/Tetevano etc a year too long, but here we are saying we should be handing out 2 year deals.
Suspect there will be a lot of things going on behind the scenes

Think it's proof of how badly the cap has been managed, but maybe not an indication that that is still the case. We gave Walker a five year contract in 2018 and his market value has now decreased to the point where other clubs don't even view him as a viable loan option. That was bad cap management (also bad luck). We signed Zak for the rest of the season, at a point where other deals (maybe still to be announced) had already been agreed. Zak could have easily imploded, and if history is any guide, might well still do so. The plan looks to have been to offload Walker in order to keep him, which was sound enough, but did carry an element of risk. That risk has now been realised and we are obviously scrambling to keep him. Let's just hope GH has some cards up his sleeve.
