He can be trouble but is certainly not past his best. That’s why I qualified it with Watson having to be confident he could settle him. Happy to be in the minority. For what it’s worth I think we have more chance of him than Connor , can’t see
That one.

Likely Peats and Livett and done and dusted. I think then only question marks are Ashworth and Mason?

I really don’t see that we need ashworth and mason.
We currently have hill, trout, Wilson, English, rushton, greenwood, ikahihifo, Lawrence, bibby, who can all play prop forward.

Make a bid for Zac Woolford - his dad knows a few people in Huddersfield.
I can't see Woolford getting any game time at Canberra if they have Levi and Starling.

He's a very different hooker than Levi - just a steady dummy half who defends well for 80 minutes - nothing flashy.

I think peats would be a panic signing for you guys. He’s a decent player but at his age, he would just be a stop gap. And on a lot of money. I reckon you should look to project signing from the championship that gives you a bit more depth and potential.

I don’t think you’ll sign Connor personally. He’s too influential for us and replacing him would be too difficult at this point. For what it’s worth though, if you do sign him your side will be dangerous.

I know hudds rate Lolohea very highly but I don’t think he’s got anything on Connor. Connor is the most talented rugby player in the country. He’s just got to learn a bit of patience and step away from the image he’s created himself. His discipline is nowhere near as bad as people think but there have been a few times he’s been punished on reputation. The bloke was involved in over 40% of fc’s tries this season and most importantly he’s a non quota player.

I just don’t know where his best position is, I’d say centre but it’s a lot of cap to throw at a non spine player.

Hudds looking a real dangerous side this season. If you can get the town of Huddersfield behind you, you’ll be at the top for years to come

We dont need a project signing. We have roby and Kieran rush. One won young player of the year in the league he played in, the other is selected for Jamaica in the World Cup.
What we need is a top class hooker who can provide some speed around the ruck- unfortunately AOB has a habit of being injured- so him doing long stints for 80 minutes this season is unlikely.
As for Connor- as I’ve already said Ken won’t be doing Pearson any favours on that front for a player we don’t really need.
If he did cone back he wouldn’t be the wonder kid anymore. (Lolohea was only just behind him in the Try assist numbers- although I grant you we scored more than you so the percentage is lower)
Oh and getting the town of Huddersfield behind us will have no bearing whatsoever to what happens on the pitch- as Hull FC have shown- in fact it seems to make you worse!

I was not having a dig at you at all.

You’re not going to sign a decent hooker at this point in the season. What’s the point in paying over the odds for a player on the wrong side of 30. Playing for Jamaica is also great but that’s not going to guarantee he even makes it as a SL player.

Ken doing Pearson a favour would be leaving Connor alone, he was the only player in our team to get bums in seats this season. Our season coincidentally ended when he went off against wakey. 12 points up with 10 mins to go we lost and then won once whilst he was out.

Hull fans want the club to fail so they can spit their dummies out. Genuinely think we have one of the worst fan bases in the league. You’re deluded if you don’t think having a stronger fan base won’t help the club on and off the field. What are you going to do when your sugar daddy isn’t around anymore

Oh the last bit is easy - support his grand daughter who is already on our board of directors at the giants and will take over the reins from Ken when he’s ready to hand them over.

If Rushton turns out to be as good as people say he will probably be number 13 meaning Luke Yates will also be used as a prop which is essentially what he does anyway as we have used 13 as an extra prop. So there is going to be massive competition in the pack.
