7 pages on a baseless rumor spouting venom against a group that have not even inroduced themselves to the Fax fans let alone announced a wish to buy the Shay and kick Town out. You really could not make this up.
Another thing I always chuckle at is something that is often repeated on their board(and if its on there it must be true like every other Fax rumor) is that all Fax fans were happy with Tony Abbott's attempts to buy the Shay which is not true in the slightest.
"Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid."― Albert Einstein "Everybody gets so much information all day long that they lose their common sense." ― Gertrude Stein "Don't believe everything you read on the internet" ― Abraham Lincoln
What makes me smile is that if we hadn’t sold Thrum Hall and moved to the Shay the council would never have put the amount of money into to make what is great little stadium. Both Town and Fax would be playing in rundown old and dilapidated grounds. Just like Cas, Wakefield and the Bulls.

Council money came years later. The money for the North & South stands, and making a start on the East Stand came from the Football Stadia Improvement Fund and Halifax Town.

As I said if Fax hadn’t moved down the council wouldn’t have put so much in. And also monies from the rugby league World Cup help develop the North Stand. Many town supports forget that Fax and their presence there has helped get the improvement the stadium needed

I know quite a few folk on the Town forum and they are mostly good lads with their club at heart if though some are slightly deluded and will never have owt good said about Fax. There are however, a good amount on there who are nobbut dick heads!
Hear All, See All, Say Nowt. Eat All, Sup All, Pay Nowt. And if Tha ever does Owt for Nowt, Allus do it for Thissen.
Wherever it is to be found, why in this era where tolerance and movements against discrimination and hatred of every sort are at the forefront can any group be allowed to have multiple pages of precisely that without no actions being taken by the moderators and those responsible for running the site?
You will always get people that react like that you come across them in life in general so sport is no different. Its disappointing that relations between the 2 clubs couldn't be better and that they couldn't work together for the benefit of both teams. On a side note it as gone very quite since the announcement last friday of the club getting new owners. I am not having a go at anyone but surely when you make a announcement that i class as a fan big news for the club you need to back that up with more info for the fans to get there teeth into or am i being too impatient.

I genuinely believe they were forced to announce it early , last Friday I was talking to the sponsors of joe Keyes and mick gledhill on Twitter around 2ish , they were both saying that a takeover was imminent then another journalist Ian laybourne announced it around 2:30pm , that coupled with rumours on here probably forced their hand and an official announcement at 3pm by us . As previously mentioned our media team are away and believe they will be involved with any promo the club have . I also noticed on fb the other sponsor Deliveree wasn’t happy as he had invested a lot of money and it appeared he wasn’t aware of the takeover and that it wasn’t official yet in legal terms . It also make me wonder why the re - signing announcements dried up and if the potential takeover had any bearing on this . It is frustrating and does lead to speculation but I’m sure things ll be sorted one way or another soon .
