Hmm not great for anyone wanting to get a decent seat as a first time purchaser I think it should be first come first serve. So the best seats in the house will likely be unavailable as they’re reserved.

Can’t understand how you can reserve something before it goes on sale. Hope they scrap that.

People who buy a seat get to reserve their seat the following season they have a time frame to purchase their reserved seat. If the do not pay for it , it goes back in the pot. Those reserving now for next year will keep their reserved seat for as long as they pay for it be it one season or twenty

Reserving something is choosing or picking it before it goes on general sale.

People who pay in year 1 get preference in year 2 etc.

Those who have historically paid more / paid upfront deserve a preference.

Ever so slight tangential here, but...the term "pre-order" boils my mickey.

If it's available, you can buy it.

If it's not available, you can order it.

You can't pre-order something.

I'm really not sure it will be such a big issue. If we genuinely fill the centre of the seating area with "pre ordered-reserved" tickets I think everyone will be overjoyed.

I had the same seat in the East stand for 45 years. Never been an issue before. Now controversy because it's a new stand!

But it isn’t on sale. As said above the ST holders get to pick it before it goes on general sale sale (1 month). The ST holders purchase their ticket for that season so it should end once that seasons done and it should be first come first serve for the following season.

If you pay in year 1 that’s for year 1. Not the priveledge of reserving a seat the following year too.

But that’s exactly what I aim to do. Pay upfront for a choice of where I want to sit. If where I prefer is taken because I got beat to the punch and didn’t have the opportunity because it was reserved 1 month before general sale then I think that’s a bit poor.

It’s fine if your in that position where you can continually reserve the same seat.

That said it’s a new stadium. If I buy a seating ST now for next season can I choose any seat I want in the new stand?

If that’s the case I may buy a seated one and continue to stand in north stand till east stand opens and just keep my seat for years to come if that’s how it does work.

I will be overjoyed. I want the club to succeed. I want to change to the new seating stand when it’s built to help make it a home fortress but would like a pretty good seat near centre that’s all.

Suppose if it’s only 500 or so seated ST holders it might not be much of an issue.

Not controversy at all, just me asking some questions so I can get the seat I want and expressing my opinion. I’m just surprised that’s how it works and want to select my seat when they go on general sale without handing hundreds unavailable on release in the best positions.

I sincerely hope you will not get the same seat in the new stand… somewhere near where it was maybe :)
