Plus it's a high-profile game - I can't see why they would not want to play in it.
I guess we’ll see. If I was in Briscoe’s shoes and had no deal signed for next year, I’d only play if I was planning to retire.
It’s not a regular season game, it’s a warm up for NZ. If it was golf or snooker fair enough. Dwyer won’t have played for 5 weeks. Say Dwyer plays and does his ACL. He’s on a 1 year deal at FC, he may not play a game for them. Maybe I’m too cynical but if I was at FC I’d be advising him to not play.

I'm sure FC would like to but not sure they can make that call given their contracts run until November. I think Rohan mentioned the game being a chance to say farewell to the leavers though I guess that needn't mean in a playing capacity.

Be interesting to see the team.
Morley and Ali played for us last time I wonder if we might get Cuthbo, Delaney and Ferres back for a send off? JJB must start, with Ablett off the bench

Rohan did mention we could have 8-10 players in world cup teams hopefully they all pull through ok and it doesn't disrupt pre season too much I'm thinking.
I wasn't talking about whether the players want to play, just that with those leaving Leeds have no leverage if they didn't want to. If they want to play fine, but don't compare someone leaving a normal job to someone playing a post-season friendly where an injury could jeopardise future earnings. Not the same thing at all.
I would also expect the clubs that have signed them to be interested. Maybe they are Ok with them playing, but if not, who would you listen to - your new employer or the club you are notionally in the last weeks of working for?
