Can Trueman agree a contract with a new club for 2023? I thought we had to wait till May to agree deals for the following season.

If it is Trueman his back issues worry my, he's struggled with it for the last 2 seasons.

On thr flip side, he's an international half at the age of 22/23 with his best years ahead of him.

I remember him tearing us a new one at the Jungle a few seasons ago (2019?). Think he scored a hat trick and ran the show.

If Cas have given us permission to speak to him, then we can. I would imagine we would have a clause in the contract that if he fails to play a certain number of games this season due to the back injury then we can revoke the contract

Ive no idea on this transfer but we have done business with them recentley, Fonua for example. Didnt clark sign for Wire a year in advanved and played a season at Cas ? Maybe if they know they will lose him then theyve done some wheeling and dealing to not come away empty handed.

Im not so sure Trueman would be a good fit for us though, fairly young and we all know our supporters go OTT. A slow start would see him crucified and no doubt the club would over hype him which would only add to the preassure.

I believe both Leeds and Warrington offered Cas a sizeable fee last year and it was knocked back.
From what I understand NRL clubs could put in an offer several months before a SL club can.
So he might be already signed up in the coming months before any of us over here can bid.
