On the first photo. From behind the south end flats.
What is the white building in the left hand corner used for? Is it just storage. I can't think I've noticed it before.

And I get the comments about a South Stand, but the flats must already hold quite a number so to knock it down and rebuild would need a really good stand to get the benefit.
In the mean time. I'd be looking for someone to pay for a cover on top of the flats where the could advertise. If angled right it could be a great piece of advertising space.

If I've got the right one you mean then originally a toilet block, built around 2008?? Now converted to the wrestle room I believe. The one behind the flats is the gym.

I have watched loads of games from the flats and I think they get too much undeserved flak. Its a great view and the facilities inside are good. Far more pressing areas in the ground requiring investment in my opinion.

Looking at the photos you now cannot see the Terracing steps in front of the old East Stand, it appears they have been covered by hardcore up to pitch level, as it seems to show its level with the concrete blocks holding up the fence on touch line side.

I agree. I'm in there a lot and it's a great view.
Assuming they have a better place to set up the cameras I'd prefer to knock down the boxes on the West and use that space. Even a basic cover but if there were funds I'd build a new version of the stand that was originally there. That is a view work getting back.

That west stand would be a heritage building now…. But that sai I think the west side Is the important media/ tv side of the ground… so my thought was to relocate some of the hospitality block to the west terrace and create a first floor media centre and a ground floor bar/ food mall…

Then persuade a multi billionaire to build a new south stand like the one at headingley

Any rough idea when it will be open Vasty?

Unquestionably the South is the last bit that needs to be re-developed.

When monies become available:

1: West terrace first, basic but fit for purpose.

2: Finish off North terrace to full capacity depth.

3: Then develop the south end to a similar standard as the East stand. The North and the West terrace give capacity and atmosphere but its the space at the South that will allow us to build the next major revenue/functional element of the stadium. However this is in every way long term, maybe ten years or so. A lot will depend on how seriously the Council takes the Community Stadium idea.
