A good move for him. He needs to be playing big minutes somewhere to show the best of him. He’s given everything in a Wigan shirt and you can’t ask more than that.

Agree 100%, in my view he was never the same after he was hammered by the disciplinary after the Watts incident.
Iv always said that I think if he can put a couple of stones of muscle on he could be a really good prop, the thing is at 24 it’s probably not going to happen naturally now, I think he would have started filling out by now if it was.
Good move for both club and player. We're probably overstocked on props at the min, so he'd find it hard to get regular game time. From the clubs POV, I'm sure they'll be looking to blood a few youngsters in his place & it lowers the wage bill too.

Tom Forber in the reserves looks decent, just needs to improve his passing and if he can he will be better than Powell and O'Neil. Forber has great defence.
Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid. Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal. Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.

He looks a talent but so does O’Neill and we can’t forget how young he is. He’s just turned 20 and has done a great job in the first team so far and there’s loads of improvement in him. Down the track I hope Forber can start to add more pressure but starting next season, I want to see that hooking role picked on performances. I felt for O’Neill at times this season. He played in all our biggest wins but was automatically left out as soon as Powell was available. I don’t have a downer on Powell at all but I didn’t like seeing it look so obvious that the position was his and his only when he was available.
Partington doesn't make metres. Literally about 12 metres a match and they are unchallenged metres. What is the point of being a forward who cant go forwards. It's like a chef not being able to do a plate of chips. At 24, he should have been smashing his legs in the gym to improve his drive and if he hasn't got that power now then others will come up behind him and soon pass him. He won't be missed. Singleton next please, he is pretty much of the same ilk.
As critical as that sounds, i really hope Partington goes on and has a good career and makes a good bit of money but as a fan, i wan't better players at Wigan.
If Parto had been a lad from Kippax who hadn't come through the academy then nobody would be batting an eyelid over his departure, I have seen certain saying that they hope he comes back after 2 seasons, What is up with these people, If he was good enough he would not be leaving
All the good music has already been written by people with wigs and stuff.
