Be great to see York and another Yorkshire club in SL. York seem to have built steadily and put firm foundations in place rather than the boom or bust model of Leigh with Beaumont.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Leigh 100 - 4 York

Never let cold hard facts get in the way of sentiment.

But unlike many clubs who got promoted in the past

They already have a team good enough to do well

That backline of ferguson inu macdonald and Charnley is better than most SL teams backlines

But yeah great game but still think leigh will batter York

Leigh have 13 overseas players currently, will need to release at least 6 if they get promoted next year

I would be interested to know which seven SL teams you feel have a poorer back line than Leigh based on the players you mention.

No they don't, and why are you so concerned?
How many times does it have to be said, that Leigh are/ have been building a Superleague ready squad all season with some more exciting signings to come in. This is the only way a promoted team have any chance to be sustainable in SL, which demonstrates how skewed the system is. And yes, we have to get promoted first.

Well it's not that either.
Have another go.
When we beat York 100 - 4 there was 9 overseas players in the 17 that day, and 4, maybe 5 of them will not be here next season.

There WILL be 7 top class overseas players in our squad come next season. :thumb:

We certainly won't be making the numbers up, don't you worry about that.
