Gutted, stayed up til the wee hours to listen on Radio . Thought at half time fax would light the touch paper and blow York away second half. all said been a great season, well done to SG and his ream, massive improvement on last season, keeping most of the squad together for next year, another couple of good additions ( players should be asking to be part of this set up) and go again next year. Blue n white forever. Up the fax. L
My Humble Opinion Only - let the knockers begin.

Well you won't have been on your own staying up to the wee hours, not to listen to the game but there will have been many thinking about it and couldn't get to sleep
Unfortunately for me I used to be a strong chess player and have the sort of mind that can't stop thinking about the match analysing this and that the following morning conclusion being, on our side the silly mistakes that have been with us all year for varying periods in every game caught up with us.
From the York side they played as well as I hoped we would and deserved it.
Don't know if it was last weeks efforts but for almost first time this season we didn't look as fit as the opposition- yes they were allowed to stand offside on numerous occasions but they just seemed to have more energy in both attack and defence as a result of which we hardly spent any time near their line especially in the second half. When we did that was the most clunky I've seen our attack for months. Sad that after a brilliant season that's the memory supporters will take into the summer- will be interesting to see now who stays/go's and what new arrivals come in . Felt for Ed Barber yesterday - he's had a fantastic season and tackled anything that moved yesterday, but on his last match seemed to be trying just too hard and as a result made more mistakes than the rest of the season combined.
Obviously a very disappointing result which doesn’t reflect the progress we’ve made this season but that’s sport I’m afraid , you win some you lose some . Hopefully we can use this experience as a squad and learn some lessons for next season. Overall a great season with some brilliant individual and team performances and a great brand of rugby to watch , see you next year when we do it all again.

Very balanced and dignified responses from members of this forum to what was a shock result for all. The Wigan board went into meltdown after their loss. Give yourselves a slap on the back!
Hoping not to visit The Shay next year but who knows with this craziness? !
Credit to york they wanted that more than us on the day which can happen but that doesn't stop it feeling like a kick in the balls. I would say that is the best i have seen them play since ben Cockayne tormented us a few years back. As for us i would put that in our 3 worst performances of this season along with widnes at home and london away. We did score some well taken tries in the first half but even going in 12 points up at halftime i thought york where the better side and it got even worse for us in the second half in what was a very disappointing way to end what has been overall a good season.

Aye, very disappointing but it would be wrong to let one result hide the fact that it's been a good season for us results wise and entertainment wise. What we need to do now as a club is build on that into what will be a historic season for Fax next year. A few tweaks here and there could push us onto the next level. Heres hoping. Up The Fax! The Grove, shuddersfield. Oakham Citra 4.2% Mmm!

The early vibes coming from the club fit exactly in with the building and pushing on thought and it won’t be long before the club starts to announce more outgoings, retentions and incomings.
