It must admit the old excuse of ‘we can’t compete with that offer’ is really really running thin.
Granted we’ve had so many issues since relegation from super league but how have we sunk this low.
Whenever something like this happens it’s a case of ‘oh well we can’t be expected to compete with Leigh or Featherstone, oh and York, and Fax, oh and now bloody Keighley. At what point do we get a grip and stop these teams overtaking us???

That will be the day that Nigel untightens his grip and sell the club to someone that deserves it.. You know it's bad when Fax fans don't gloat about beating us and liken it to "kicking a puppy". They also feel sorry for us as he damn near killed their club too.

Never really rated Aston, the amount of clubs he's had probably says a lot. Lilleys not had the best of years, but who has?
On the squad as a whole, it's not just how much we're spending but how smart we're being with what we've got. Look at Batley, small budget but they buy smart and have a good culture. We've too many overweight props and having no ball playing FB has been there for all to see. We need round pegs in round holes. My worry is though that if we had another hooker lined up, surely we'd have announced it to somehow soften the blow of Doyle going to Keighley. George Flanagan doesn't do this and my fear is having Hallas and Flanagan at hooker which just repeats our mistakes and makes the singing of Holmes pointless.

The last few episodes of SMTM , they’ve been saying that many championship clubs are waiting until the img report is released and they know what the target will be for next year. Taking that forward, it’s likely that many out of contract players won’t actually have received an offer from anyone yet
