Me too - Wardle is ready made I think. But if we can do the sane with King and Whare what we have done with Harry Smith bring it on. But I credit Lee Briers with Harry’s improvement and he’s off to the Broncos.

I’m not sure Wardle is as good as some think on this forum but he’s probably the best potentially available non quota centre and he’s young with scope to improve. Being non quota is also a big bonus. Signing King and Whare means we are a lot stronger at centre next season but we could be back to square one the season after and on the lookout for another couple.

Whare a no for me as well. I can’t see there being much in it tbh. I’d rather stick with King, Thornley and Halsall, with KPP being an option as well. He’d take up a quota spot, so we’d need to have an exit to fit him in.

I hope Smith’s form continues on its upwards tick,Briers clearly been a huge influence on him so let’s hope he can carry on when he’s gone.

As for Wardle..good player but one who who for me has never stood out as a player that’d improve the team massively,but time is still with him so if he is on his way it’ll be better than the situation this season.

Agree with that. I certainly don't think he's a "wingers centre" either. Looking at his stats, the times I've seen him play & of course highlights - he's a ball runner.

It kinda highlights to me, how big a hole Gildart left. People turned on him as he had the gall to leave Wigan, but he's a class above a 34 year old Whare, Toby King, Wardle, Isa and Thornley.

Imo, he's the one the club should be going after.

Wardle in my opinion will go on to be regarded in a similar way to Gleeson at Wigan if/when he is confirmed.

Marshall will love playing outside him.

He’s ready made for us and is only going to get better.

For me he is the number 1 target/signing that we need to secure.

I think that might be a brave and wise decision. For all his ball-playing talent, his defence is awful and his attitude is worse.

Huddersfield in for Connor by all accounts. The biggest signing they’ve made in recent times has to be that of Wires old accountant.

Wouldn't want Connor here. Huddersfield must have found some room on the cap by letting someone go

If Wardle has signed, i am surprised Huddersfield haven't announced it yet with their season being done unless we have asked them not to.
