Whilst he's been poor this season and looked unfit, he's been a good club servant. I'd love to hear his thoughts on the situation. He came through in the Mcbanana era and has seen it all as a fan and player. He was even in the 47 man squad that had no half backs that was assembled under Steve Ferres, who came to the club recommended by someone at the RFL. Can't think who.

Must have been the extra extra long varient as hes been utter garbage for at least 2 seasons.

Captains are the ones supposed to lead by example and set standards both on and off the field. What sort of example
does it set when hes turned up week in week out in the shape hes in . Culture change needed from top to bottom so im happy hes out of the door.

That been said I'm growing tired of the players blaming everyone else but themselves. This isn't a defence of Wood as I don't think he's competent enough to take us forward, however I'm struggling to think of what dream these players are referring to. At the end of the day, Nigel didn't lose to Halifax whilst playing with an extra man for 79 minutes, or Whitehaven at home etc. I think some of these players need to look in the mirror.

Completely different mind set to those on our 2005 documentary who had just as much off-field issues, but they went on and became champions.

Agreed. As much I think the coaching appointment is a disgrace, and the owner a joke. They didn’t lose the Halifax or Barrow games when we were winning or within a shout. They haven’t served up absolute rubbish on the field like yesterday.

However, on paper the players aren’t bad. It is down to the coach to get the best out of them. And we should have beaten that Widnes team who were missing several key men and had lost 5 of the last 6 games (only win came against Whitehaven).

Nothing will change until Nigel takes his knee off the clubs throat.
Inexperienced Coach with no assistant and lack of funds are all symptoms of "The Nige effect"
2022 has been terrible, I can't see how 2023 will be any better.. please feel free to offer a bit of optimism though,

To be fair I've been a bit doom and gloom recently due to the poor efforts on the field and the god awful appointments off the field. But the positives for next season:

We've signed a very good halfback for the Championship in Tom Holmes.
We've signed a very good forward in the form of Brad Foster.
We've signed one of our better performers for next season in the form of Chester Butler.

But like I said to a friend of mine. You can have a squad full of quality but if it's being run by a guy with no decent experience. Then that squad will not play to it's best.

However the recruitment for me looks decent so far.

Sounds like some players are blaming others for being dross, we've signed some, seemingly reasonable, players for next year. They all talk so if there was something monumentally dishonest going on surely our barge-pole effect would be even longer.

To demonstrate their p155 poor attitude you only had to watch their number 8 sit one of our young lads on his rear then stand over him laughing. For the next 5 mins or so we went hunting every ball carrier to prove we were as tough as them and looked like a capable side. Then with point proven they all went back to bloody sleep.

I know we had no experienced halves but yesterday was the worst effort I've ever seen put in in a Bradford kit.

If it was the one put on report it looked like he was accused of biting?

Yeah, he was always a consistent 60+ minute prop up until early March when he had Covid. Then he looked like he could barely manage 40. He got a game or two in the reserves and slowly got his match fitness back. He’s been a good club servant over 3 stints.
