If it is true that he has agreed a contract extension then I'm a little surprised that the club haven't announced this already unless they want to get the playoffs sorted or maybe link it with some other news? Maybe Bateman going back to Australia could be part of the silence? I have zero knowledge of this other than a few rumours flying around and if French does stay how can we accommodate Field, Bateman and French within the cap? As I say pure speculation on my part but I'm quite sure that a number of deals (in and out) have yet to be announced.
They currently fit within our salary cap so why should that change?

It would but I am not sure that the numbers would increase significantly. We have had an excellent season and played some very attractive rugby, yet we continue to increase our fan base. I hope you are right.
From the Toohey News podcast, he’s back off on the “French has signed” stance and now reckons it’s a chance he stays in England.
He also predicts KPP and Pryce will join the Knights in 2024 not 2023
RICHARDS IS SUPERMAN!!!!

Yeah, he’s not set the world alight at Catalans but after his NRL career should have been one of the best centres in the league. I’d be happy enough signing him on a short term deal but I’d rather we sign Wardle.
