Whilst Rovers were deserved winners in the game in all honesty and putting things in to context even a team of under 16's would have dominated us as we were so poor. Also factor in the fact that Vete will also have been putting himself in the shop window with no new deal with your club.

It was a very poor season for both sides and neither should be happy with the position in the league they've achieved.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Albert Vete had no need to put himself in the shop window, he signed for Castleford a few weeks ago.

Making fun of others when your team is in its worst state since the powers that be saved you from oblivion with a merger with Gateshead. Things can get worse.,For the past two years your final position has been below us. Maybe not by much but the situation is obviously hurting. I thought I’d let you know that every time you make a dig I know it’s because of the hurt and my grin gets wider.

Right you are, but do you think Tony Smith would be a good appointment?

Thinking about Hodgson going along with Purtill and the statements made a few weeks ago about other possible incomings in that we were waiting for the world cup etc. I just wonder if changes were already being seriously considered so that if a coaching change was made any new Coach would at least have some opportunity to make one or two additions of their own?
Could the wait until the world cup just have been a smoke screen to pause anymore recruitment or am I just being a conspiracy theorist :CURTAIN:

My response to KTR points was not just about the derby game, re Vetes derby dominating performance I said to put in to context etc and then about his so called improvement in form since Smith left his post.

From a coaching point of view yes. Unfortunately he has a bit of a history of spitting his dummy out, not just at KR. If Mr Pearson can avoid upsetting him I’m sure he’ll improve your club’s performances.

Must admit I find it strange when they say they are waiting for the world cup.

Surely every player taking part in the World Cup is known to the club in some form?

Would like to think the new coach would have some input in to such a meeting?
