Yes cropped up too much for there to be nothing in it in all likelihood. I saw another article (admittedly from one of the less trustworthy RL sites) saying that Wigan would want £100k more than they got from Canberra last time (which was around £150,000). Either way Wigan will have done well out of John Bateman, both on and off the field.
Hope he stays of course.

Tony Smith taking over at Hull FC by all accounts. That should be an excellent appointment and one that can hopefully breath life in to them. A number of clubs look strong for 2023 and that can only be a good thing.

Not convinced to be honest, Hull FC are the perennial mid table under achievers. To improve as a whole the club and supporters need to get rid of the.... 'as long as we are better than Hull KR then that will do' culture that they've had for decades.
